How I Spend My Christmas

i went to Ranau

not for Christmas but for my childhood friend's wedding...

she didnt tell me she's getting married on Christmas Day. i heard the news from another childhood friend of mine. so i called Samantha and asked her why she didnt tell me the good news herself? her reply was that she knows it's christmas and she knows that we wont be able to come so, she just wanted to save the disappointment. i told her i'm sorry i wont be coming but later, i felt really really bad and i decided that i must come! i've known her since i was 3 yrs old and i wont forgive myself if i ever missed her wedding! but i didnt tell her that there's a change of plan. i just cant describe the look on her face when she saw ALL of us came to see her. ALL means Bibie, Licia, Udit & Mimi the geng karas for more than 20 years...

as close friends of hers, we feel honored to be given the chance to "merenjis air mawar" to both bride & groom.

after doing the renjis-renjis, we're given a cute small basket filled with sweets. i think it's a token of appreciation from the couple. udit missed the renjis-renjis part because she was late. actually, her husband's house is only a stone throw away but kunun she was waiting for my phone call, which i forgot

so much for "a season to be jolly"

i know we're supposed to be all happy happy this time of the year but i dont know why, it seems like there's more reason to get pissed-off lately.

1. idiot ppl from some UNIMPORTANT union in UMS keep bugging me regarding their website. the president is the most idiot of all. i designed their website corporate style but he wanted it to be like a 6 yr old's personal website. he wanted a 3d logo "yang bepusing-pusing" , he wanted fireworks , he wanted to put music... maybe kepala karabau pun dia mau! to top it all, he had the nerve to appoint me as the "Ketua Pengurus Pelancaran Laman Web" for the launching today! NO WAYYYY!!!! i'm flattered, thank you, but at the same time i'm totally pissed-off coz he shouldve asked me 1st! ask me if i'm free? ask me whether i'll be able to attend or do i want to attend at all? i hate this stupid union and for the record, i want nothing to do with it! he even force us to be a member even though we didnt want to and then suka2 hati dia go and deduct RM2 from our salary (every month) for the fee! gets printed in our pay slip some more! i'm so angry i could eat them all alive! except that i'm currently on diet so they should consider themselves lucky!

2. our new boss is a BIGGER JERK than the previous one! guess what? one of my colleague was already on leave for Christmas & New Year since the 20th. he's supposed to be back after new year and i was so surprised seeing him here at the office this morning, his face glum. i was like "HAHHH??!!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?" he sadly said that the boss asked him to come back to work! WTF?????!!!!! wei... you dont simply call back people who's on leave and asked them to come back to work tau! you're not even to call people (on the phone) who's on leave unless necessary. and you dont ask them to come back to work unless there's an emergency and as far as i can see, nobody died so there wasnt supposed to be any emergency. my god! what was he thinking? or maybe he didnt think coz he's equally as stupid as the "union" ppl. and then guess what, today kunun he said he's attending a seminar but i doubt it coz yesterday he told me that some ppl from servay hypermarket called him and told him he'd won some "mami poko" lucky draw and he was aked to go there today.

actually there's a lot more but these two are the most "blood-boiling" at the moment. i tried not to be so angry... hmmm... i'd better listen to Crazy Frog's "Ding"-le Bells.

First Cheque From ST

when we (jnr & i) 1st joined, i asked my cousin how long will it take for the cheque to arrive and he said it will take about 10-15 days. naturally, i became a lot bit worried when the cheque still hasnt arrived after a month. i almost gave up on ST but finally, yesterday, my faith (in ST) has been restored.

oklah... this is actually jnr's cheque but i said "ours" because most of the time, i'm the one who's doing the surfing so... ours lah bah kan? lagipun, what's his is mine, what's mine is mine

kidding...

of course in marriage there's no yours and mine, everything is ours. klu ada yours and mine tu, there must me something wrong somewhere.

our earnings for october was actually USD303 but we decided to put back USD150 into ST and withdraw the balance. after tulak itu ini and after convert to RM, dapatlah stangah ribu wah... if we withdraw all, we couldve get 1K++ ooo... but nvm, i always remind my jnr, "ini punya barang tidak bulih tamaha"

now we're waiting for our 2nd cheque. this time we withdraw USD379 so dptlaaa juga 1K++...

u might be wondering, why jnr only? what about my account? well, unfortunately, my account is currently frozen because i think i've "accidentally" breached some TOS of theirs. i am yet to attend a meeting (via paltalk) and hopefully my account will be reinstated real soon.

oklah, enough bragging about my - oops, OUR cheque...

Thats Mean vs. That Means

i do realize that my english is very bad

but at least i know which one is the correct phrase

correct me if i'm wrong but i think "Thats Mean" is grammatically incorrect

all i know is that you put the "s" in "That Means" because the "That" is a singular subject or referring to a singular subject.

it irritates me hearing people saying "Thats Mean"

i mean, come onnnnn... this is a simple phrase. you learned about singular and plural back in primary school... i'm not trying to be an english teacher here but i think a phrase that is being overly cited should be pronounced correctly.

i'm sorry if i offended anybody

but this entry is written out of frustation and a silent anger towards someone who keeps ammending other people's translation (BM - BI) padahal when she/he speaks, keep on saying "Dats Mean". kah kunun mangkali she/he feel so sophisticated saying this phrase. dont u just hate people like this?

What's The Story, Morning Glory?

ellone was up very early today so i have no choice, i had to wake up too... since today is saturday, i was hoping that i'd get some extra half an hour sleep than usual but no, guess that's not for me to decide.

i'm 26 yrs and 1 day old today...

yesterday, my papa stop by at UMS (my office) to give me a birthday card



and some angpau. he told me that my mama suggested to give me angpau and "let her buy whatever she likes".

so, last night, we (my sis-in-law, cherry, jnr's cousin, jnr, ellone and i) went to have dinner at Kenny Rogers. of course my sis-in-law didnt know that it was my bday last night. actually jnr was planning to bring the whole family to a dinner at some fancy restaurants but i dont think that my birthday is such a big deal and i just thought that there's no point for the others to know. so i decided against it. last night i was just hoping to have a quiet dinner just with ellone and jnr but since dinner at home was not prepared yet, we decided to ask them (sis-in-law, jnr's cousin & cherry) to come with us.

how's kenny rogers? well, i dont really want to comment coz i know some of you swears that u're never going back there again. the service was nice, the waiter & waitresses are very polite, the place is so well designed but the food is not as good as it used to be. some of my friends even labeled it as simply "buruk!". anyway, believe it or not, since it's opening last september, last night was the 5th time i went there. for me, the food is ok.

after that, we went to Popular. they're having a year end sale and i thought i'd get me some books. i wanted to buy Narnia, the complete set but since we're going to watch Narnia today, i thought i'll just buy it some other time. yes, i'm going to watch The Chronicles of Narnia : The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe at 2.00 today



after doing much deciding, i bought 4 books with 30% discounts.



i'm quite fond of sidney sheldon's books and i already have all the other books except for this one. actually i just wanted to complete the collection. after some time, i finally come to realize that the storyline are always the same and now i could even guess who's the bad guy before i even finish reading the book. and there's this one time where i even bought the same book twice. i think it was The Sky Is Falling. i forgot i already have it

I Turn 26 Today

of course i'm happy

and of course celebrating birthday now is not as fun as it used to be when we're much younger.

anyways, i'd like to thank all my friends and family for their bday wishes. some even smsed me last night i love you all and thanks for remembering my birthday...
