Kursus Induksi UMS 2006 (8th - 20th May)
sorry for the lack of updates coz i'm currently having my induction course (or is it inductive course? someone, pls correct me)
what's that for?
well, last year, i've told u guys that i passed my interview to be a permanent staff of UMS but... that wasnt the final stage. i am a permanent staff but i wasnt confirmed yet. to become a real UMS staff, u'd hv to be "tetap dan disahkan jawatan" so, in order to get confirmed, we hv to attend this induction course lah!
started off with an outdoor course at Outdoor Development Center (ODEC), which is a place quite similar to OBS and to those of you who are not familiar with either ODEC or OBS, it's actually a place for you to get adventurous
we spent two days there
on day one, we were divided into four groups and i ended up in grp 3. there are only two guys in my group. we were asked to find a name for our group and they come up with the name D' Scholar. i kinda like the name Excell which also has been proposed but, since most of them are lecturers, they unanimously vote for the former so, what to do la... hv to follow majority maahhh... i'm holding the lowest position of them all, i mean, there are 14 of us in that group, 11 being lecturers, 1 counsellor, 1 IT Officer (1 of my Bosses) and 1 Assistant IT Officer - that's me. the keyword here is "assistant" ya... so, when u're the assistant, paham2 saja lah...
i dont really get it, why do we (assistants) hv to attend this induction course with the professional's group. in the HR system, we assistants are not categorized as professionals, we actually falls under the supporting staff category... in some ways, this had actually put me off a bit..

oh, and the instructor sometimes referred to the groups by names like Alpha (Grp1), Bravo (Grp 2), Charlie (Grp 3 - that's us) and Delta (Grp 4). since we're also known as charlie and there are only two guys in our group, we adopted the name charlie's angels and also adopted the slogan "Girl Power!"
You Go Girl!!! damn! the blue helmet makes me look dumb! OMG, my kapala is sooo bulat, just like a moon ooo...
anyway, i had so much fun on the first two days. the first day, in the morning, our group had to do the "High Rope" activity.

okay, the ladder looks fine kan? but i tell u, this ladder is actually moving from side to side while u're climbing. erkk... baru naik tangga pun, i feel like giving up already! i'm scared of heights so it takes me a few minutes to reach 25 feet off ground, where i will start to "walk on a rope"!
