Momentary Bliss

i'm at Shangri-La Rasa Ria Resort right now. since jnr is on leave for the next 10 days or so, i thought, why dont we go for a little get away... heheh... and i know tuaran is only about an hour drive from penampang but at least, we are... emm... away

it's our first time here. a bit expensive compared to Nexus and we were wondering why. i thought, well, maybe they provide better services... and going to a 5-star hotel is a once-in-a-blue moon event for me.

when we get here, i wasnt expecting the kind of reception we will get. as soon as we get here, a guy in a bajau costume and a lady in a kadazan tuaran costume greeted us, opened the door for us and then get all the bags down. ok, itu biasa lah kan... then, jnr proceed to go and park the car, while the lady escorted us to the lobby. before we get there, the lady said, "this is how we welcome our guest" and then went to hit the gong once. and then, the ppl at the kulintangan area started to play a very nice but short piece... i was like, "oo... ok, thank you..." she showed us to sofa and after we were seated, she kneeled down and asked for my ic and told me that they would need me to write down the details of our children (cherry came with us) later.

then, jnr came and went to the reception area for our reservation. the lady there ask for his ic and credit card and then said that he can wait at the sofa, while they prepare the keys and all lah. while we waited there, a guy came and gave each one of us a wet towel. i felt silly coz i dont even know what are the wet towels for then, the lady at the reception came and ask us to sign some paper and then write the kids name & date of birth at the back of that same paper. and then, the guy who brought us towel came again with 4 glasses of peach tea... wah... so nice... even the kids love the drinks. after we finished the drinks, the reception lady then escorted us to our room.

the room i tell you.... i think it's quite big for a deluxe room. the bed can easily accomodate like 5 medium size adults ooo... there's no need for ellone to sleep in the cot, though we did asked for one. and the baby cot also, bukan yg murah2 punya ooo... there's even a very comfortable sofa you can sleep on it.. and no, it's not even a sofa bed. and there's also a BIG (5' x 7') mirror on the wall, beside the bed... oh, and highspeed internet access is also available

so kebaruan oo me... but i never went to a place such as this bah... so, forgive the ignorance...

we'll be here until wednesday so in the meantime, let me enjoy my momentary bliss...
